IMPORTANCE OF FRIENDSHIP

Friendship are important, from the time we are born, most of us are given love and acceptance from our parents who are the only friends at that time. As we grow older and older , we have our own group of  friends that accepted us of  what we really are.

It is mportant that we learn how to determine what a good friend looks like. I can't tell you how many times my mother told me to be careful in choosing my friends . We had this saying " Tell me who your friends are and I tell you who you are ". I can honestly say that I didn't  like being told by my mother who I should or shouldn't be friends with, but I can also tell you that looking back   my mother was right.

 

Out of those friends we have, there will usually be a friend or two with who we have many things in common and can openly share what's on our heart , These special friends are the ones we prefer to spend time with and with whom we have the most fun.

 

True friends give us encouragement, love and acceptance . They are self-sacrificing and they're always there when we need them . They listen to us when we have problems  and give us Godly advice .They love and accept us even when they know our deepest and darkest experiences. They can be trusted to keep to themselves what we have told them . We can have confidence that they will not gossip about us. They stick up for us when others put us down and will stay with us to the end.
